Galaxy Note 2 Android 4.1.2 ROM leaked with new Ink Effect lockscreen feature (from AndroidAuthority)

Those who own the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 can now join in on the newer Jelly Bean flavor fun, for the Android 4.1.2 firmware for the phablet has leaked online. It’s not exactly Android 4.2, but there are still some nifty features to be found.

As reported by Sam Mobile, the latest firmware for the Galaxy Note 2 was first uploaded online by a Vietnamese website, tinhte. Here are the details:

  • PDA: N710XXDLJ2
  • Modem: N7100XXDLJ2
  • CSC: N7100OXADLJ2

We’re still looking for the changelog, but from the screenshots, the ROM brings the Ink Effect lock screen to the Note 2. As the name implies, you’ll see a colorful ink effect (pink, orange, green, or blue) whenever the S Pen touches the lock screen – except when you have a live wallpaper on the screen. Among other new things, there’s also a multi-window toggle on the notification panel.
