In a word, stunning.
My first impression of this device is very positive. As someone that consumes content at an alarming rate, the Note 2 is a device that fits my lifestyle perfectly.
The weight, build quality, display, and overall speed of the device are exceptional. Samsung did right by consumers by bringing it to market with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean out of the box. The device is absolutely blazing fast, with its 1.6GHz quad core Exynos SoC. Initial benchmarks from Antutu were stunning for a non-overclocked device.
With 2GB of RAM on board, its likely to be a device that will be able to hold its own for quite some time. It boasts a very similar design philosophy to the Galaxy S3, and rests wonderfully in the hand. I found it to be well balanced, and the minimized bezel is very impressive. While I would have loved to see a higher resolution panel, the display it features is a marked improvement over the original Galaxy Note. It is lighter, faster, has a similar footprint to the Note 2, but packs an even larger 5.5 inch 1280 x 720 Super AMOLED HD display.
